Organized by Automoto Club Storico Dauno, the 35th Targa di Capitanata promises an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes and rich history of the Gargano. This prestigious, non-competitive event for historic cars, recognized by ASI and FIVA, will take place from May 30 to June 1, 2025, attracting participants from Italy and beyond.
Starting in Foggia, the rally will traverse breathtaking coastal roads and picturesque villages, unveiling the "Sacred Mountain" of Gargano. Highlights include the medieval town of Monte Sant’Angelo, home to the Sanctuary of San Michele Arcangelo, and the serene Foresta Umbra. Along the way, participants will admire the dramatic Adriatic cliffs, the charming seaside towns of Manfredonia and Mattinata, and historic landmarks such as the Church of San Leonardo and Santa Maria di Siponto.
Beyond its scenic routes, the event is a celebration of flavors. The Gargano is renowned for its rich culinary traditions, offering a true taste of Apulian cuisine. From freshly caught seafood and handmade orecchiette to the world-famous caciocavallo cheese and exquisite olive oils, every stop will be an opportunity to indulge in local delicacies. A special gastronomic experience awaits in the heart of the Foresta Umbra, where authentic flavors will create unforgettable memories.
More than just a historic car rally, the Targa di Capitanata is a tribute to culture, history, and tradition. Whether you're a classic car enthusiast, a food lover, or an explorer at heart, this event promises an extraordinary adventure.
