Bilbao, June 2025 — The streets of Bilbao were transformed into a living museum of automotive history as the city played host to the Festival Arte sobre Ruedas on June 7–8, 2025.
With over 450 vehicles — including 300 classic cars and 150 motorcycles — the event attracted enthusiasts, collectors, and other interested visitors for an unforgettable celebration of motoring culture.
The festival, organized by the Basque Federation of Classic and Sports Vehicles (FEVEBASK) in collaboration with FEVA and FIVA, marked a significant moment for the city and the region, positioning Bilbao as a new hub for international automotive heritage events.
Held across Bilbao’s iconic districts of El Arenal and San Mamés, the festival featured an array of attractions:
A Concours d’Elegance showcasing 67 outstanding vehicles, with awards given by a jury of leading figures from Spain’s and Europe’s classic car communities.
A popular car show filled with beloved models — celebrating everyday automotive icons.
A Grand Parade through the heart of Bilbao, where vintage and modern classics rolled proudly down Gran Vía to the cheers of an enthusiastic public.
A Regularity Rally from San Mamés to the Torre Loizaga Museum, home to one of Europe’s most prestigious collections of Rolls-Royce.
The International Congress of Automotive Clubs (CICA) with motorsport icons such as Jo Ramírez, Emilio de Villota, and Efren Vázquez sharing personal stories and lessons from the racetrack.
A scenic coastal tour through Getxo, Sopelana, Bakio, and beyond, capturing the beauty of the Basque Country from behind the wheel.
A tribute to motorcycling legend Santiago Herrero, honoring his legacy with historic displays and heartfelt recognition.
Enthusiasts were also thrilled to see exceptional models like a Lamborghini Countach LP500S, a Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing, a BMW M1, and a pre-war Morgan 4/4 Series I.
The awards ceremony and gala dinner at the prestigious Sociedad Bilbaína brought participants together in celebration, featuring a live performance by tenor Martín Barcelona — the perfect crescendo to a weekend full of passion, community, and roaring engines.
Festival Arte sobre Ruedas was not only about vehicles — it was about heritage, innovation, and inclusion. It gave voice to a growing community that spans generations and borders, all united by a shared respect for the automobile as a cultural artifact and engineering marvel.
With its resounding success and growing international attention, Bilbao is now firmly on the map as a landmark destination for classic and historic motoring — and the road ahead looks brighter than ever.
