FIVA extends its condolences to the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs on the passing of their Vice-President Mr David Davies on the 28th of December 2025.
As an active rider on a variety of motorcycles he competed in numerous events both in the UK and in Europe, often with his family.
His primary interest comprised of his self-restored 1929 Model 90 Sunbeam. However, he also had a keen interest in early cycles, flat tankers as well as an obsession with LE Velocettes.
The late Mr. Davies served in numerous capacities including, inter alia, as the President of the Vintage Motor Cycle Club as well as Director, Overseas Representative and Editor of the Journal. As a professional photographer he also made numerous photographic contributions over the years.
In his capacity as a director and Vice President of the Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs he made numerous overseas travels resulting in many friendships with his fellow colleagues in FIVA.
