Dear Friends,
As the year comes to an end, I would like to send you a simple and sincere message.
As we approach 2026, in my capacity as the new President of FIVA, I feel, above all, a sense of responsibility toward our community, our shared heritage, and the future we are called upon to build together.
Historic motoring is changing. The world around us is changing. Standing still is not an option.
FIVA must be present, visible, credible and useful. Not only for its members but also for vehicle owners and for institutions.
In the coming months, we will focus on clear priorities:
Listening more, acting faster, working together better.
Strengthening FIVA as a truly global federation.
Defending our freedom to use historic vehicles with seriousness and authority.
Engaging younger generations with modern language and concrete projects.
Communicating more clearly who we are and why we matter.
No grand declarations, just steady work, shared goals, and measurable results.
The holiday season represents a time to pause, to be with family and friends, and to remember that behind every federation, club or commission there are people. Passionate, committed, generous people. People who commit their time, energy and resources to protect and preserve historic vehicles. People who no doubt know that at FIVA, we appreciate their every effort.
Thank you again for the trust you have placed in me and for what you do every day for historic motoring. I truly look forward to continuing this journey together in the new year, with clarity and energy, driven by the values shared by our community.
Warm regards,
Alberto Scuro
President – FIVA
