About the front page

The FIVA entry page automatically detects the language of the computer program that you use to view the website. This enables us to display the welcome text in the local languages. For those languages where we have no translation yet, the English language is displayed. However, should your language not be available yet, please spend some time and translate the original English or French text in yours and mail this to the webmaster.

Every time the front page is opened, two randomly selected pictures from a total of 20 pictures are selected; 10 different ones for the left side and 10 different ones for the right side. By pressing the F5 button the front page is reloaded and pictures are changed at random again.

Your vehicle on the front page of the FIVA site?

We would be happy to show the vehicles of our members on the website. Aim is to have regular new pictures in our sets that are being displayed, so why not submit yours?

However in order to qualify for placement, please observe the following:

Mail your pictures to the webmaster.
Resolution >100dpi with dimensions of approx 10x15cm.
Please photograph 4-wheeled vehicle in a 1/2 to 2/3 frontal view as those shown already. Motorcycles and other 2-wheeled vehicles can be photographed from the side as well.
Try to pick an overcast day without too much bright and direct sunlight and beware of too much reflection.
Use a natural background and please don’t place your car in front of bushes, trees, etc.
For vehicles with wire wheels, please ensure that no fuzzy background can be seen through the wheels.
Please ensure you have copyright, so please don’t submit photos taken by others without clearing this first.
Add a short description of the vehicle, year of build, FIVA ID number if applicable and any other special features.
