| Requirements for organising a Touring Event |
With fixed route & more than 12 vehicles:
apply for route authorisation from Motor Sports Association;
advise relevant police force.
With optional route or fewer than 12 vehicles:
No requirements, but recommended to advise relevant police force. |

| Requirements for organising a Regularity Event |
Apply for route authorisation from Motor Sports Association and advise relevant police force. |

| Requirements for organising a Concours d’ Elegance |
The only requirement is to have the landowner’s permission.
If large numbers of spectators are expected, it is wise to inform the local police. |

Other information |
Motor events following fixed routes and/or with timing are very strictly controlled, and are limited to no more one on any particular minor road in any one month. Events that have no competitive element with no set route and no timing are virtually uncontrolled - it is quite permissable for a touring event to take place without any control on the basis that the organisers issue only a recommended route and the location of the destination. |
