LIST OF EU RELEVANT DIRECTIVES AND POLICY DOCUMENTS

We would like to provide you with the relevant EU directives and policy documents concerning our historic vehicles and where FIVA obtained positive results You can consult these documents in your own native language starting from an English page. 1998/2411/98	COUNCIL REGULATION (EC) No 2411/98 of 3 November 1998 on the recognition in intra-Community traffic of the distinguishing sign of the Member State in which motor vehicles and their trailers are registered.
1976/769/EEC	This provides the regulatory framework allowing the EU to ban the use of products on the basis of new evidence proving harm to health or environment.
1996/62/EC	Ambient air quality assessment and management
1999/30/EC	Relating to limit values for sulphur dioxide, nitrogen dioxide and oxides of nitrogen, particulate matter and lead in ambient air
2000/69/EC	Relating to limit values for benzene and carbon monoxide in ambient air
2002/3/EC	Relating to ozone in ambient air
2004/107/EC	Relating to arsenic, cadmium, mercury, nickel and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in ambient air
2008/50/EC	These impose the air quality limits which are the basis for urban vehicle bans.
98/70/EC	Article 3 details the prohibition and other conditions on the marketing of leaded petrol.
1999/37/EC	The registration documents for vehicles
2000/53/EC	Recital 10 exempts historic vehicles from the scope of the Directive.
2001/43/EC	Article 1.3 exempts the tyres fitted to vehicles registered before 1980 from the Directive’s provisions.
2004/42/CE	Article 3.3 exempts historic vehicles from the provisions of the Directive
2005/69/EC	Recital 10 provides for the continued use of stock tyres not conforming with the provisions of the Directive
2006/126/EC	Article 4.5 may be used by Member States to ask the European Commission to allow B equivalence for C/D licences for historic vehicles; Article 4.4 (b) provides for conditions for driving with trailers.
2006/122/EC	Restriction on the use of Perfluorooctane Sulfonates Directive (2006) -  2006/122/EC: exemption from ban for in chrome plating
2007/38/EC	Recital 10 and Article 2.2(a) exempts historic vehicles from the provisions of the Directive.
P6-TA-2005-0366	Point 26 calls for EU institutions to consider impact of proposals on historic vehicles and make exemptions where appropriate
2009/28/EG	EC directive *2009/28/EG on the promotion of the use of energy from renewable sources and amending and subsequently repealing Directives 2001/77/EC and 2003/30/EC
