Events General

A - Events
An event run according to the FIVA rules, governed by FIVA through their IEC and for which FIVA will appoint an observer.

B - Events
An event governed by the National Authority (ANF) of FIVA, as defined in Art. 18 of the FIVA statutes, run mostly in their own country according to the FIVA rules and for which the ANF will appoint a national observer.

Historic Regularity Events

An event of a touring nature in which the greatest speed is not a deciding factor, but in which average speeds (50km/h or less) must be imposed. The organiser must be a body of FIVA as defined in Art. 1.1. of the FIVA statutes.

Historic Touring Assembly

An essential mostly non-competitive event with or without classification. Classification should not be decided by speed or timing elements. The organiser must be a body of FIVA as defined in Art. 1.1. of the FIVA statutes.

Categories

Class A (Ancester) Vehicles built up to 31st December 1904
Class B (Veteran) Vehicles built between 1st January 1905 and 31st December 1918
Class C (Vintage) Vehicles built between 1st January 1919 and 31st December 1930
Class D (Post Vintage) Vehicles built between 1st January 1931 and 31st December 1945
Class E (Post War) Vehicles built between 1st January 1946 and 31st December 1960
Class F Vehicles built between 1st January 1961 and 31st December 1970
Class G Vehicles built on or after 1st January 1971 and up to a date 30 years before the first day of the current year

All FIVA approved category "A" and "B" events should use these classes; sub-divisions are allowed. Other forms of classification may be used if part of historic tradition.
